Double Board-Certified Psychiatrist | Medical Director
Dr. Jathavedam, also known as “Dr. Siri” is a double board-certified psychiatrist with over ten years of experience running a private practice in Cresskill, New Jersey. At Daylight, she helps with hiring and supporting our team of therapists, mental health coaches, care navigators, and psychiatric nurse practitioners.
She earned her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed her general psychiatry residency and fellowship training at New York Presbyterian Hospital, the hospitals of Cornell and Columbia.
Before entering the field of medicine, Dr. Siri was a first-grade teacher in an under-resourced community in Los Angeles through Teach For America—an experience that continues to shape her deep commitment to education and equity in mental health care. She is passionate about training both patients and professionals in evidence-based approaches that empower long-term growth and wellness.
Dr. Siri feels privileged every day to work alongside a team that is compassionate, dedicated, and deeply respectful of the unique backgrounds and stories each patient brings.
Outside of her clinical and leadership roles, you’ll often find Dr. Siri walking her dog, baking, reading, or spending time with her family and friends.
