Daylight pairs with your doctor to support your mental health

We're unique in that we work closely with your doctor to figure out the best plan for you.

Visit your Doctor for Physical Health
Your doctor mostly focuses on your physical health. You might be seeing them annually for a check-up, or more regularly for an ongoing physical health condition.

Hey Casey, I've sent over a progress chart so you can see your mood tracking changes over time. After speaking with Dr. Carter, these might be linked to some of the hormonal issues you talked about. I'm also wondering, how have you liked the journaling prompts I sent last week?

Work with Daylight for regular mental health support
Daylight works with your doctor to improve how you feel mentally and emotionally, on a day-to-day basis. Learn to cope with worries, anxieties, low mood/energy, difficult life events, challenging relationships–and more.

Hello Dr. Carter—I've been working with Casey now for three months, and she's doing great. Sharing some of my notes that I think could be helpful.

Dr. Laura Aquino

Primary Care Doctor

Thank you! I'll review these and discuss in our upcoming appointment. I'll be meeting with her next week.

Team-wide communication to keep everyone informed
Daylight facilitates ongoing communication with your doctor to ensure that your work with Daylight is complementary to any treatments you are receiving for your physical health.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I’m eligible for Daylight Health?

If your primary care doctor’s practice has partnered with Daylight Health, you’re automatically eligible to access in-network coaching!

Why is Daylight better than finding a coach, therapist, or psychiatrist on my own?

With Daylight, your primary care doctor, coach, and a consulting, board-certified psychiatrist form an integrated team that collaborates to ensure that you’re making progress.

Plus, because Daylight is covered by insurance as a primary care benefit, it’s typically less expensive than searching for a therapist or psychiatrist on your own!

How much does Daylight Health cost?

The cost of each Daylight session will be determined by your health insurance plan. Our team will conduct an eligibility check before your first session so you know how much you’ll owe.

Do I pay Daylight for sessions?

No, billing is handled by your primary care practice on behalf of Daylight. If you have any questions or concerns related to billing, please contact your doctor’s office!

Who are Daylight’s coaches?

Daylight works with master’s-level clinicians, including nurse practitioners, mental health counselors, and clinical social workers, all of whom are trained to support with social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health. Regardless of their area of expertise, all coaches undergo special Daylight training to ensure they’re equipped to support clients in a coaching capacity.

Does Daylight prescribe medication for mental health concerns?

Your primary care doctor can prescribe medication and manage dosing as needed, while Daylight can connect you with a psychiatric consultant. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all treatment—a combination of medication and therapy might be beneficial to some people, while medication may not be needed for others!

How and when will I meet with my coach?

You’ll meet with your Daylight Coach via video call at whatever frequency feels right for you—that might be weekly, every other week, or once a month. You can change the frequency of your sessions as your needs evolve over time.

What if I don’t like the coach I’ve been matched with?

This happens! While our Care Navigators do their best to match you with a coach whose expertise and background aligns with what you’re looking for, you may decide they’re not a good fit. If this happens, you can reach out to our team via email or text and we’ll pair you with a new coach.
